Account Executive

As an Account Executive at Dexibit, you’ll share Dexibit’s big data and analytics vision with the world to enable cultural attractions to make insightful, data driven decisions. This position involves working with mid to large institutions internationally, either by reaching out proactively or in response to client enquiry, primarily via video conference and in person at industry events. The role reports to the CEO as an independent charge opportunity.

This is a dream role for driven Emerging Museum Professionals (EMPs), especially those with an academic background in museum studies and graduate experience in the cultural sector or another industry. At Dexibit, you’ll work with the senior executives and technical teams of various departments from cultural institutions from around the world – museums of all shapes, sizes and disciplines – a unique opportunity to rapidly gain worldly experience and an exceptional network in the sector. Customer Success Specialist

As an Customer Success Specialist at Dexibit, you’ll be helping cultural institutions from around the world get up to speed in the land of big data analytics, promoting insightful, data driven decisions. This position involves working with Dexibit’s clients, small to large institutions internationally, primarily via video conference, phone and email. You’ll be supporting them to onboard to Dexibit (including coordinating setup and training), provide day to day support and proactively offer insights and advice. The role reports to the COO.

This is an ideal role for aspiring Emerging Museum Professionals (EMPs), potentially suitable for those still completing their qualifications. At Dexibit, you’ll work with teams of various departments from cultural institutions from around the world – museums of all shapes, sizes and disciplines – a unique opportunity to see into museum internal operations and learn what it takes to lead data driven change in the museum.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Full Stack Engineer (Java)

Auckland NZ

Commencing February 2018

As a Full Stack Engineer at Dexibit, you’ll be responsible for developing feature set insights, user experience design and visualizations from Dexibit’s data, to share with museum executives.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 – 3 years experience in a technical role, preferably with exposure to big data analytics. In particular, experience with data visualizations, personalized recommendations or bot automation will be highly beneficial. Most importantly, you must demonstrate an ability to work in a collaborative environment, be an organized and confident problem solver and be able to communicate complex ideas clearly in a distilled, meaningful manner.

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Java development experience, plus knowledge of Javascript, Spring, JPA, and Vaadin
  • A understanding of data science practices and even artificial intelligence techniques is beneficial (you’ll be working with refined data to create visualizations)

An excellent command of English is essential.

Scientist

Ingestion Engineer (Python)

Auckland NZ

Commencing February 2018

As an Ingestion Engineer at Dexibit, you’ll be responsible for developing integration packs, insights and forecasts from Dexibit’s data, to share with museum executives.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 – 3 years experience in a technical role, preferably with exposure to big data analytics. In particular, experience with machine learning, systems integration and natural language generation will be highly beneficial. Most importantly, you must demonstrate an ability to work in a collaborative environment, be an organized and confident problem solver and be able to communicate complex ideas clearly in a distilled, meaningful manner.

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Masters or PhD preferred)
  • A understanding of data science practices and artificial intelligence techniques
  • Python development experience and AWS knowledge

An excellent command of English is essential.

As an intern at Dexibit, you’ll get hands on experience in your field delivering your own interesting research project, working under the guidance and support of a Dexibit mentor in conjunction with your academic supervisor.

Please note Dexibit prefers working with students completing full time work experience or research projects as part of their academic program.

We’re looking for passionate, intelligent and entrepreneurial students interested in gaining experience in big data and analytics for Software as a Service (SaaS) in a Business to Business (B2B) setting, plus:

  • Completing a Bachelor’s degree or higher education (for Data Science, usually completing a Master’s degree or higher)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy working with others but able to work independently
  • Be confident at math
  • A love for the cultural sector is crucial
