What we do

Dexibit predicts and analyzes visitor behavior to drive engagement and bring more people through the doors. Our product includes forecasts, insights and dashboards equipped with machine learning, natural language processing and more. It’s a great time for the industry, which is experiencing a boom post pandemic!

This means you will be exposed to the complete gamut of product development and will have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the process, from ideation to delivery.

The role

We are on a path to modernize and scale our data layer, to meet emerging demands from our customers. We need you to help us on this journey!

Our tech stack is built around Quarkus services written in Kotlin, with a Kafka event driven architecture and Postgres and Snowflake as datastores. We expose rich REST APIs for our React UI to consume, in order to deliver beautiful data visualizations for our customers. To support this, we have developed a custom query language and compiler. This is deployed in the cloud using a heterogeneous mix of lambda functions, long lived containers, and much more.

The long and short of it is: if you want to go deep with impactful software and data engineering, you’ll find your happy place.

Bullet points and buzz words

We are looking for multiple engineers. We are happy to meet you where you are at. We’re particularly interested in junior / intermediate level engineers (1 – 2 years of experience) and staff / principal / lead level (10+ years of experience).

• Your background might be software leaning or it might be data leaning, we don’t mind, but you’ll certainly have an interest in both fields
• You’ll be a proficient coder, ideally with a Java / Kotlin / Python background –
  SQL and domain modeling doesn’t phase you and, in fact, you worry a lot about data structures and their relationships
• You keep your infrastructure safely committed in git and automate as much as possible
• You’re comfortable building services and can wax lyrical about different architectural patterns and interservice communication techniques, you might have heard of dbt, Kafka, Airflow, Spark, Databricks, Ansible, Datadog, Typescript, React, etc…
• But most importantly: you’re not a jerk – you’re collaborative, empathetic, authentic and hold a growth mindset
