SIMULATOR: Commit scenarios to plan

With an uncertain future ahead, being able to closely monitor actual visitation against a scenario is an important part of adapting operating procedures based on insight informed decisions.

With this in mind, the scenario simulator allows you to create and commit a plan made up of saved scenarios with specific date ranges. This plan can then be visualized in dashboards and reports against actual visitation using the comparison to plan visualization (#254).  You can also use this feature to link a range of scenarios with different assumptions together – something that has been requested by a number of the venues we work with.

To commit to plan, select the paper plane icon in the top right corner of the screen. Use the drop down menu to select from your saved scenarios and assign a date range for that scenario. Click the plus icon to link another saved scenario. Note that as scenarios are based on the underlying forecast, and forecasts are available with a 12-15 month outlook, your plan will only have data to the point where your forecast ends.

Note that once committed, plans are fixed and a new plan should be created should there be a significant change.
