Aquarium of the Pacific
The Aquarium of the Pacific is a public aquarium on 5 acres in Long Beach, California.
A 501(c)(3) non-profit and an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), the Aquarium sees 1.5 million visitors a year and is home to over 11,000 animals from more than 500 species. With a focus on the Pacific, it includes a sea otter habitat, Magellanic penguin exhibit, giant Pacific octopus tank, shark lagoon and lorikeet forest.
The Aquarium provides for paid admission and membership. It has a shop, cafe, venue hire and popular events programme, plus offers boat tours including whale watching. The venue also includes an earth friendly garden and 4D theatre.Â
